Super Bowl 2016 Cocktails: 10 Drink Ideas For A Great Football Sunday

The best have finally been decided… this year, going head to head in a battle royale, will be the Denver Broncos versus the Carolina Panthers!  To help celebrate this half century long tradition that is the Super Bowl 50, try these amazing cocktails to spice your party up and wow your guests! So, now the question on everyone’s mind is… are you team blue or team orange? These DIY cocktails are victory dance worthy and a great alternative for those who prefer cocktails over beer. The Blood Orange Bronco

Ingredients: 1.5 parts Milagro Silver, 0.75 parts Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur, 1 part Fresh Lime Juice, 0.75 parts Agave Nectar. Garnish: Orange Wheel, Lime Wheel (1 each).

How to: Pour all ingredient in a Boston Shaker with ice.  Shake and strain over fresh ice in a salt-rimmed rocks glass.  Garnish with orange and lime wheels. 

The Sweet Caroline

Ingredients: 1.5 parts Milagro Silver Tequila, .75 parts Lillet Blanc, .75 parts Lemon, .5 Blue Curacao, .25 parts Lemon Verbena & White Pepper Syrup. Garnish: Lemon.

How to: Put all ingredients in a Boston shaker, add ice and shake until cold.  Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass/coupe.  Garnish with a lemon wheel. 

The Fourth Down Freshest Margarita

Ingredients: 2 parts Milagro Silver, 0.75 parts Agave Nectar, 1 part Fresh Lime Juice, Garnish: Lime Wheel.

How to: Pour all ingredients in a Boston Shaker with ice.  Shake vigorously and strain over ice in a rocks glass.  Garnish with a lime wheel. 

The Hail Mary

Ingredients: 2 parts Tullamore D.E.W Original, ½ parts simple syrup, 2 dashes of Angostura bitters, 2 dashes of orange bitters.

How to:  Fill glass with ice and stir quickly until cold. Be careful not to over dilute. Strain into an ice filled rocks glass. Float ¼ part fresh apple juice on top and garnish with an orange twist.

The Fifty

Ingredients: 1.5 parts Milagro Silver, 0.75 parts White peach syrup, 0.75 parts Fresh Lemon Juice, 2 parts Blonde beer.                                       Garnish: Lemon Wheel.

How to: Combine tequila, peach syrup and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker and add ice.  Shake and strain over fresh ice in a tall (Collins) glass.  Top with a Blonde Ale.  Garnish with a lemon wheel.

Red Zone

Ingredients: 2 Parts Hornitos® Plata Tequila, 2 Parts Coconut Water, 1 Part Lime Juice, ½ Part Agave Nectar, 3 Dashes Angostura® Bitters, Lime Peel.

How to: Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake vigorously and strain over fresh ice. Garnish with a lime peel.

Jalapeño Endzone

Ingredients: 1 ½ Parts Hornitos® Plata Tequila, 4 Parts Mexican Lager, ⅓ Part Lime Juice, ⅓ Part Simple Syrup, 1 Slice Jalapeño, Salt Rim.

How to: Muddle jalapeño in a glass with a salted rim, combine remainder of ingredients except Mexican lager in a shaker, shake vigorously, strain over fresh ice and add Mexican lager.

Ingredients:, 1 1/2 parts EFFEN® Black Cherry, 1/2 part Vanilla Simple Syrup, 2 parts White Cranberry Juice, 1/2 part Fresh Lemon Juice.

How to: Shake and strain all ingredients over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with brandied cherries.

EFFEN® Vodka Grapefruit Bubbly

Ingredients: 1/2 parts EFFEN® Vodka, 1 part Grapefruit Juice, 1 part Prosecco. 

How to: Pour all ingredients into a champagne flute. Garnish with a lemon twist.
