Since the announcement that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their first baby this year, everyone has been rummaging around for details about Baby Sussex. While it looks like the royals intend to keep things under wraps, there’s no stopping the followers of the much-talked-about royal couple from wanting to know more about the royal baby.

Here are the 10 things we know so far about Baby Sussex.

1. The baby is arriving in April

When the Kensington Palace first announced Duchess Meghan’s pregnancy on Twitter, the tweet mentioned that the baby is arriving in spring. On Jan. 14, during Prince Harry and Meghan’s visit to Birkenhead, the latter revealed to the crowd that she is due in April.

2. They want to keep the sex a surprise

Earlier this month, Meghan was filmed at the Endeavour Fund Awards in London saying that she and Prince Harry would like to keep the sex of their child a secret. In a separate event, somebody also asked the Duchess if they are having a baby boy or girl, and she said: “…we are keeping it as a surprise.”

3. Prince Harry wants a daughter

When he attended a cycling event at the Sydney Invictus Games in October last year, Prince Harry talked to someone and insinuated that he was hoping to have a baby girl. A cyclist told him: “I hope it’s a girl.” The Duke responded, “So do I!”

4. Duchess Meghan thinks Amy is a pretty name for a baby girl

A girl once approached Meghan during her visit to Birkenhead and told her she would like to call her baby Amy if she’s a girl. The former “Suits” star then said: “That’s a really pretty name, I like it!”

5. The royal couple is compiling a list of name suggestions for their baby

When 12-year-old Charlie Wolf grilled the royal couple on a name for Baby Sussex, Meghan kept mum. She told Charlie, however, that she and Prince Harry would sit down to have a look at all the baby names.

6. Meghan loves having Baby Sussex inside her tummy

During a visit to Brinsworth House, Meghan told theater actress Josephine Gordon that she’s feeling great being pregnant. In fact, she even put her hands on her baby bum, and said she was “feeling very pregnant today.”

7. Prince Harry loves including their upcoming baby in his speeches

Speaking at the Sydney Opera House during the Invictus Games Opening Ceremony, Prince Harry told the crowd: “I have been so proud to be able to introduce my wife to you, and we have been so happy to be able to celebrate the personal joy of our newest addition with you all.”

8. Prince Harry was the first to publicly talk about Baby Sussex

Shortly after Kensington Palace’s baby announcement on Twitter, Prince Harry attended a reception in Sydney and told everyone about the baby. “We also genuinely couldn’t think of a better place to announce the upcoming baby… Whether it’s a boy or a girl,” he said.

9. Baby Sussex is just like Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children

Traditionally, British royals do not learn the sex of their upcoming babies before they come out. That means Prince Harry and Meghan keeping their baby’s sex a surprise is not a special case.

10. Almost everyone predicts it’s going to be a baby girl

When Prince Harry attended an event and a student told him he’s predicting it’s a baby boy, Prince Harry told the student that everyone else is predicting it’s a girl. And he wants a girl.
