The 2014 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix is Sunday, March 14, at 1:30 am EDT. The teams will have one final free practice on Saturday before putting everything on the line this weekend. The third free practice and qualifying begins Saturday, March 15 at 2:00 a.m. EDT.
Friday free practice reaffirmed that Mercedes will be the team to beat this weekend. Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg are first and second fastest after setting a time of 1:29.625s and 1:29.782s, respectively. That said, the Red Bull team that struggled all preseason managed to somehow get their act together and move both cars into the top 6.
