A man from New Haven ended up getting arrested after reportedly showing off a gun to two women at a Family Dollar Store on Saturday.

The man was identified as Joshua Murray who allegedly took exception when two women failed to thank him after he courteously held a door open for them.

Murray allegedly got upset when the two women did not express their gratitude per an unnamed witness.

“A witness reported that the suspect was upset that two woman did not say ‘thank you’ to him for holding a door open for them,” police stated.

Local police allegedly responded to a report of a man brandishing his gun outside the store. Also, Murray reportedly interfered with officers during his arrest.

The 25-year-old was eventually detained and hit with a felony charge of carrying a pistol without a permit. Aside from that, he was also given related misdemeanor charges of interfering with an officer, and two counts of second-degree breach of peace, the New Haven Register reported.

No one was injured in the said incident. It was also added that Murray is set to appear before the Meriden Superior Court on Aug. 2. The 25-year-old is currently being held on a $25,000 bond.
