A 28-year-old woman was reportedly shot by a 24-year-old female passenger after the two got into a heated argument in the backseat of an Uber in Miami on Saturday.

The woman who was shot and later died was identified as Gladys Yvette Borcela. Accused of killing her was Natalia Harrell.

It appears that the argument stemmed from an incident at a venue earlier that night. Harrell was reportedly upset that Borcela was drinking and dancing there. This led to the 24-year-old woman texting a witness to get the 28-year-old mom under control.

When the venue closed, Borcela and Harrell ordered an Uber. They were initially seated in the same row and an argument started. Harrell moved to the front of the SUV. According to witnesses, the 24-year-old began to shout: "You don't want this; you don't want me to go in my purse."

Not long after, Harrell reached into her purse and pulled out a gun and fired a single shot at Borcela that eventually killed her.

After the shooting incident, Uber stopped at that point. Six passengers, including Harrell, fled the scene. Borcela never made it out of the vehicle.

Harrell is now being charged with second-degree murder and is currently being held without bond. It was not mentioned if the 24-year-old had an attorney available to comment on her behalf.

A GoFundMe campaign was organized by the victim’s mother. It was mentioned there that Borcela was the mother of three and will always be remembered as the “life of the party.”

"She always held her hand out for anyone that needed her, even when she had battles of her own," the fundraiser's description read. "She put her 3 beautiful children first and now they have to grow up and only hear of memories of their beautiful mother. I don't even know how to tell my grand baby's someone took their mother away from us."
