She might not look it, but actress Alyssa Milano celebrated her 40th birthday in style this week as friends and family threw the "Charmed" star a surprise party.

Milano's husband David Bugliaria had planned the prom-themed hush-hush shindig at West Hollywood's posh club The London on Friday, according to US Weekly.

"It's prom-themed because Alyssa didn't have a prom and hers would have been in 1990s," an insider revealed to US Weekly. "Everybody dressed up and everyone got a corsage when they walked in."

The star-studded guest list included celebrities like Ludacris, Brian Grazer and Ken Jeong who appropriately took prom-style pictures while DJ Vicious-Lee played Milano's favorite tunes all night long.

Milano won't actually turn 40 until Dec. 19, but the spectacular soiree looks to have gone off without a hitch.

"Everyone had a great time!" a source told US of the spectacular theme party. "Alyssa was really surprised. She had no clue!"

Milano married CAA agent Bugliari Milano in August 2009 after a two-year courtship. They are parents to a 15-month-old son, Milo.

A frequent Twitter user, Milano often updates her fans about her son.

"My baby really like[s] to say the word 'happy,'" the actress wrote recently. "If he only knew how truly happy it makes me to hear him say it. Or... maybe he does know."

Milano had also recently commented on the tragic school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. Dec. 14, the second-deadliest school shooting ever.

"My heart and soul aches for the parents of those babies lost and for the babies that have to somehow heal & overcome... Hold each other," posted Milano.

"~GROUPHUG~Get in," she added.

A former child star, Milano is best known for her role as Tony Danza's daughter, spunky Samantha Micelli, on the '80's sitcom "Who's The Boss?"

In recent years she's appeared on the TV series "Young Justice" and is slated to star in the upcoming ABC series "Mistresses."
