Rep. Thomas Massie and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, two of the Republican Party's most unpredictable and outspoken figures, were photographed vacationing together in Costa Rica, according to photos published by TMZ.

The images show the Kentucky congressman and the Georgia representative posing together at what appears to be a beachfront resort alongside their partners. TMZ reported the group was seen enjoying dinner and spending time together during the tropical getaway.

The photos immediately fueled online speculation because both lawmakers have become central figures in recent Republican infighting, particularly over foreign policy, spending and President Donald Trump's aggressive posture toward Iran.

Massie has spent much of the year publicly clashing with Trump and parts of the Republican establishment. The libertarian-leaning congressman recently criticized military escalation in the Middle East and repeatedly attacked federal spending packages backed by Republican leadership.

Trump, in turn, openly blasted Massie on social media, accusing him of undermining the Republican agenda and threatening political retaliation. Earlier this year, Massie filed paperwork to seek reelection in 2028 despite losing the primary for the 2026 midterm elections.

Greene's relationship with Trump has been more complicated. Once considered one of his fiercest allies in Congress, she has recently broken with parts of the MAGA movement over foreign intervention and U.S. involvement overseas. Greene has strongly opposed deeper military entanglement with Iran and warned Republicans against supporting what she calls "forever wars."

That overlap has created an unusual alliance between Greene and Massie, particularly on issues involving war powers, surveillance and opposition to bipartisan spending deals.

The Costa Rica trip also comes at a moment when Greene's personal life has drawn public attention. The congresswoman finalized her divorce in 2022 and has since occasionally appeared in headlines tied to her dating life and social outings. Massie, meanwhile, is generally known for maintaining a more private public image centered on his Kentucky farm and anti-establishment politics.

Social media reactions to the TMZ report ranged from jokes about a possible political power duo to speculation about whether the trip reflected a deeper strategic alliance inside the Republican Party's populist wing.

Neither lawmaker immediately commented publicly on the photos.

The sighting lands during a tense period in Washington as Republicans continue battling internally over the direction of Trump's second administration, particularly on foreign policy. A growing divide has emerged between traditional Republican hawks and a newer nationalist faction skeptical of overseas military involvement.

Both Greene and Massie have increasingly aligned themselves with the latter camp, arguing that the U.S. should focus more heavily on domestic priorities rather than foreign conflicts.

Costa Rica has become a frequent destination for American politicians, celebrities and wealthy travelers because of its luxury beach resorts, privacy and direct flights from major U.S. cities.
