While younger brother Liam Hemsworth has been in the headlines due to his recent split from Miley Cyrus, older brother Chris Hemsworth is facing a rumor of his own. A recent magazine report says that the actor’s wife, Elsa Pataky, is enraged, and it may have something to do with Brad Pitt’s ex-wife, Angelina Jolie.

The latest rumor came from Star Magazine in a recently published article titled “Angie & Chris: The Truth Behind Those Rumors,” according to Gossip Cop. Star reported that Jolie slipped her phone number to Hemsworth at this year’s Comic-Con.

The magazine quoted an unnamed source, who said that Jolie “loved every second of being with Chris at Comic-Con and desperately wants to work on some hot-blooded project as an onscreen couple with him.” As a result, Hemsworth’s wife reportedly banned her husband from having any contact with the “Maleficent” star.

Star’s source implied that Jolie might be drawn to Hemsworth as he seems to remind her of her ex-husband Pitt. According to the tipsters, the actress “sees Chris as this younger, sexier, more exciting version of Brad.”

However, Hemsworth remained oblivious to Jolie’s moves to catch his attention. However, his wife is worried about history repeating itself, a reference to how Jolie started an affair with Pitt while filming “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” back when he was still married to Jennifer Aniston. “Chris has assured her there is nothing to worry about but Elsa is at her wits end,” the tipster said.

However, Gossip Cop got in touch with someone from Jolie’s camp, who confirmed that “none of this is remotely true.” The fact-checking site also noted that Star has been caught making up fake stories about Jolie in the past, such as when it reported that the actress asked out Keanu Reeves or that she was dating Sean Penn.

Actually, the Hemsworth-Jolie rumor is already an old one. It started when the “Thor” actor was seated next to Jolie at the 2018 Golden Globes, and a pic showing the two actors circulated online.

But what most people don’t know at that time was that there was actually a third person in the pic — “Thor: Ragnarok” director Taika Waititi, who was cropped out. “See, you've done what the internet has done, which is you’ve cropped out my real ‘date,’” Hemsworth jokingly said to host Ellen DeGeneres during an interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
