Let the battle royale begin! With the release date for both the next-generation titles approaching fast a lot of details are being spilled about exclusivity for for both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Ubisoft has confirmed that "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag's" PlayStation-exclusive DLC won't be coming to the Xbox One, or any other platform for that matter. There were rumors last week that the DLC would come to other platforms after six months, after someone spotted the fine print in the new trailer, but it seems that is no longer the case according to Eurogamer.

Ubisoft confirmed to Eurogamer that "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag's" hour of Aveline levels will forever only be playable on the PlayStation 3 and PS4 consoles. In case you are unaware of the upcoming DLC PS4 exclusive pack then here is a bit of information. Black Flag on Sony platforms will be given access to three missions starring an older Aveline de Grandpré from last year's Vita title "Assassin's Creed: Liberation." Long-time fans of Ubisoft's "Assassin's Creed" series may be a little bummed if they are not buying a PS4 but others new to the game are most likely ok without Aveline de Grandpré.

With this new confirmation from Ubisoft it makes you wonder if that "Watch Dogs" DLC is PlayStation exclusive as well. It was rumored that both "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" and "Watch Dogs" would get exclusive PlayStation DLC's but was later revealed that other consoles could see the DLC six months after its release. No word yet if Ubisoft is still only PlayStation exclusive but until then we can only assume it is.

"Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" released for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC on October 29. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will be available when the consoles launch.
