The associates of a man accused of brutally killing young women, and found in possession of footage of him raping and violating one of the corpses, have been denied bond on Tuesday, Sept. 21, as the Georgia case continues to move forward in its momentum.

Cleounsee Fisher, the brother of serial rapist and necrophiliac Dennis Lane, and his girlfriend Ronisha Preckwinkle have been denied bond as the courts decide to let them wait in prison until the grand jury hears their case, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

They both stated that Lane was the one who killed 23-year-old woman Mirsha Victor, denying that they had any involvement in her death. Preckwinkle also denied helping Fisher with covering up Lane’s crime, saying that she was only in the proximity of the area and not helping the crime.

“What we have in this case is a horrific act committed by Mr. Lane,” Daniel Farnsworth, Preckwinkle’s attorney, said. “We have his brother assisting him in [the] coverup, and we have the state alleging that based upon her mere presence at the location, she was involved in it.”

Lane is a serial rapist and registered sex offender who spent 20 years in prison for a 1999 case where he was convicted of raping a 10-year-old girl. However, he would be paroled in May 2019 and go on to stay with his brother Fisher and work at a food processing plant with Victor.

Victor’s case was first reported on July 8 when Lane reportedly killed Victor and took a video of himself having sex with her corpse on his phone before disposing of the body and the physical evidence, allegedly with the help of Fisher and Preckwinkle, according to a previous report.

Since then, Lane has also been charged with the murder of 19-year-old Conteshia McCoy, whose remains were found close to Victor’s on July 19. Her cause of death has not been publicly released.
