As MAGA hardliners' frustration with the Trump administration's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation continues to mount, online bettors are rushing to the open market to predict when the first big domino will fall.
On Monday, The Department of Justice released a memo announcing that the Trump administration would not be releasing any further documents or evidence connected to the death of Jeffrey Epstein, and that the infamous "Epstein List" of his alleged high-profile sex trafficking clients does not exist.
The July 7 document effectively shut the door on the case indefinitely, marking a major pivot from previous stances of Trump and several Trump allies-turned U.S. officials.
Many MAGA hardliners were quick to point out on social media several campaign trail pledges and promises regarding the Epstein Files by members of the administration. Trump himself said he would "probably" declassify Epstein files if elected. Vice President J.D. Vance and FBI Director Kash Patel both called for the complete release of the alleged client list. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi told Fox News host John Roberts in February that the Epstein client list was "on my desk" awaiting review.
Following the announcement that the list Bondi said was on her desk doesn't exist, many conservatives demanded that Bondi resign.
Please join me in calling for Blondi to RESIGN!

On the same day of the memo release, bettors rushed to public betting website Kalshi to predict when Pam Bondi would leave or announce a departure from the DOJ, setting the expiration date at Jan 1, 2026. As of July 9, the betting odds of Bondi leaving her position before that date is 23%.
The betting line has Bondi's tenure sitting at less than one year, which is considerably shorter than her predecessors from Trump's first administration.

Jeff Sessions, Trump's first Attorney General appointed in February 2017, resigned at the behest of Trump after recusing himself from an investigation into Russia's alleged meddling in the 2016 Presidential election. He resigned on November 7, two days shy of 21 months.
Trump's second Attorney General of his first term, William Barr, served for roughly 22 months, from 2019 to 2020, and also resigned on Trump's orders.
Another public betting site, Polymarket, placed the betting line for Bondi leaving the DOJ at the end of July, with odds floating near 10% as of July 9.

On Tuesday, Trump appeared to defend Bondi in the face of growing criticism, deflecting a reporter's question about the Epstein files during a cabinet meeting.
"I can't believe you're asking a question on Epstein at a time like this, where we're having some of the greatest success and also tragedy with what happened in Texas — it just seems like a desecration," Trump said, referring to the tragic flooding in central Texas that has killed over 100 people, and left rescuers searching for over 150 more.
