Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s six children have reportedly gotten much closer to each other after their parents’ divorce. Pitt and Jolie have three biological children together and adopted three.

A source recently said that unlike other kids whose parents divorced, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox didn’t grow up with hate in their hearts. In fact, they came out better and wiser following Pitt and Jolie’s decision to split.

“All of Angelina and Brad’s kids are extremely close,” the source said. “They’re all very caring and protective of each other. They have always been a tight unit, but their parents’ divorce made the bond between them even stronger. They still bicker sometimes, like all siblings do, but overall they get along really well,” the source added.

The insider also said that one of the reasons why Pitt and Jolie’s six children are close is because they have no other choice but to support each other, especially since they travel a lot. Whenever Jolie has to film in a different country, she makes it a point to bring her kids with her.

“Angelina really encourages that feeling of being a little tribe,” the source said. “She has group meetings so everyone can share their feelings. They do game nights, they read to each other; there is a lot of group time. Brad’s so close with his brother and sister (Doug Pitt and Julie Pitt Neal), so it’s something he wanted for his kids, too. He and Angelina are totally on the same page with that,” the source added.

Pitt and Jolie announced their divorce in 2016, and they have recently reached a custody agreement. Jolie has sole custody of their six children, but Pitt gets to spend time with them whenever they’re in Los Angeles.

During her interview with Elle, Jolie praised her sons for being so protective and respectful toward their sisters. The “Maleficent” actress also shared the advice she usually gives to her daughters.

“I often tell my daughters that the most important thing they can do is to develop their minds,” Jolie said. “You can always put on a pretty dress, but it doesn’t matter what you wear on the outside if your mind isn’t strong,” she added.
