"Call Of Duty: Ghosts" launched today and the reviews are in with a general consensus that "Ghosts" is a familiar territory with some new tricks up its sleeve. "Despite the touted advancements of its engine, Ghosts looks eerily familiar, even on PS4," Xav de Matos from Joystiq writes. "Changes to the animation system are a big leap in the right direction. Characters smoothly vault over cover without breaking stride from a full sprint; a new sliding mechanic makes it possible to rush through a doorway and glide into the room. It feels outstanding and inspires some memorable moments."

The storyline for "Call OF Duty: Ghosts" is where most reviewers agree that although it looks familiar, it has a twist. "The Federation, a new superpower formed by South American energy-producing countries, gains control of a U.S. satellite-based defensive missile system and turns it on the continent," reports the USA Today. "The resulting apocalyptic wave of devastation and subsequent military attacks leaves a resistance on the verge of defeat." Dean Takahashi from Gamesbeat wrote, "The best thing I can say about the story is that it is different, and it isn’t the same old thing with the same kinds of villains. It makes me appreciate last year’s story and its villain more."

"Its robust multiplayer gameplay, surprisingly fun co-op modes, and lengthy, challenging, and varied campaign makes Ghosts one of the best Call of Duty games to date," Scott Lowe, reporter for IGN, wrote. Russ Frushtick from Polygon was not too surprised with this new COD installment writing, "Ghosts feels like an accountant's sequel, with just enough content to justify a new installment. It just never goes beyond that." Digital Spy also chimed in and said, "Despite an overriding feeling of familiarity, Ghosts is another excellent entry in the Call of Duty series." Ultimately, gamers have the last word if this game is worth playing or not. Let us know in the comments below your thoughts on "Call Of Duty: Ghosts!"
