Captain America: The Winter Soldier
The Russo brothers tease plot of Marvel's "Captain America 3." Marvel

The highly-anticipated Marvel film “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” has finally hit theaters! As with every Marvel movie the focus will be just as heavy on what happens in those mid and post-credits scenes as on the film itself. **NOTE after this paragraph there will be spoilers, so if you have not seen the film yet or don’t want to know what happens please stop reading now!

The first Easter egg we see from “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is of Thomas Kretschmann as the head of HYDRA Baron Strucker. While the scene showcases a classic-looking Baron Strucker with Loki’s staff and legendary weaponry from Marvel that isn’t the real spotlight of the footage.

The real spotlight is our first look at Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver and Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch and both are using their powers! Also both are imprisoned and Strucker refers to them as his “miracles.” The full line said is "There is nothing more horrifying than a miracle.” This could be the first mission in “Avengers: Age of Ultron for the team to rescue both Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch.

The second scene is much shorter but still significant. The Winter Soldier shows up at the Smithsonian, particularly at the section of the Captain America exhibit that memorializes the fallen Bucky Barnes. This significance of this scene could be lost on a lot of people who have not read Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting's Captain America stories.

It is said that this scene could mean the end of Chris Evans role as Captain America and the rise of Sebastian Stan taking over as a character who, even in the comic books, has been known as Captain America. Whatever the case may be this probably won’t be anything in the near future.

While these aren’t significantly telling scenes like we’ve seen in previous Marvel movies, they are still pretty exciting.
