President Donald Trump's inner circle has long spoken of China as the arch-enemy, with some suggesting that ending the Ukraine war will free up resources to counter Beijing

Social media users are mocking President Donald Trump's religious beliefs after Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked about the President's religion during a press briefing.

Leavitt answered questions from young children on Tuesday, which was Take Our Sons and Daughters to Work Day. A special press briefing for the children was held at the White House.

"What's the President's religion?" asked one child.

"The President is a Christian and he believes in Jesus," Leavitt responded.

Social media users quickly took to online platforms to ridicule Trump, stating that the 47th President only held self-serving beliefs.

"He may believe in Jesus, but he only worships himself," said one user.

"This is a good reason to leave Christianity. The Antichrist is taking over," said another.

"Wrong: The President's religion is money and cheeseburgers," wrote a third.

"'Remember your question?' Oh, right — the one Leavitt clearly planted so a child could tee up a faith-based campaign ad during a press briefing. This isn't about religion. It's about feeding kids propaganda so the adults in the room can clap on cue," said a fourth.
