Chucky, everyone's favorite murderous doll, will be feted at a 25th anniversary celebration with the creators and cast of the franchise at the New York Comic Con on Friday, Oct. 11. If you're going to be there, the panel will be taking place on Main Stage 1-D. Special guests will include Chucky creator Don Mancini as well as franchise cast members Brad Dourif, Danielle Bisutti, Fiona Dourif , Harry Knowles , and Jennifer Tilly. Here's what the Comic Con website has to say about the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Chucky: "Now, a quarter of a century since fans were first petrified by Toyland's most lethal serial killer, the cast reunites to share their thoughts on Chucky's deadly legacy and to introduce fans to Curse of Chucky, an all-new, unrated chapter of the chilling Child's Play series (available on Blu-ray & DVD October 8th). Join them as they reflect on Chucky's disturbing reign of terror and share some of the blood-splattered thrills and chills to come!"
"Curse of Chucky", which KBPS calls a "fine addition the Chucky legacy", is the sixth of the Chucky films, which have seen the murderous doll run through at least 40 different victims and die five onscreen deaths in a storied career which has made him - and creepy dolls of all sorts - the stuff of so many peoples' nightmares. "Chucky kills again and again. And he gets killed again and again," actress Jennifer Tilly told USA Today. With her cameo in the newest film, Tilly marks her third appearance in the Chucky franchise. "I used to say the only thing that will kill Chucky for good is bad box office. That hasn't happened yet. He keeps getting resurrected. It doesn't matter if he gets burned up or chopped into tiny pieces or if somebody blows him away. He's always going to find a way to come back."
