Florida police helped a baby deer with a Doritos bag stuck on its head. The Key deer fawn was discovered while officers were on patrol Sunday night. Visitors to the Florida Keys or any other wooded area who do not throw away their trash properly risk endangering deer and other animals.
The nervous deer with a Doritos bag on its head allowed the officers to remove the chip bag without hesitation. Sometimes you just have to let those hard to reach chips go.
The Monroe County Sheriffs' office posted a photo to Facebook of the deer with the Doritos bag on its head just before the bag was removed. As the deputy approached the deer, normally known for being timid, the fawn stayed still allowing the officer to carefully take the bag of its head.
Once freed from the Dorito bag, the fawn ran off toward the woods. The deputy that helped the deer told the Sun Sentinel it is likely that the animal picked up the trash looking for food and that it was unlikely somebody placed the bag over the animal's head.
