A shooting at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Dallas on Wednesday morning left several people injured and at least one person dead, according to officials.

ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons said three individuals were taken to the hospital after what he described as a "possible sniper" attack to CNN. He did not confirm whether the victims were ICE employees.

Police sources later told Fox News that the victims were detainees in ICE custody, with at least one confirmed dead and others in critical condition. They said the shooter, identified as a white man armed with a rifle and positioned on a roof, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound as agents approached.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed the suspect's death in a post on X, adding, "Details are still emerging but we can confirm there were multiple injuries and fatalities. While we don't know motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them. It must stop."

Dozens of police units and multiple ambulances were seen at the facility near I-35E and Empire Central. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not released the names of the victims or the suspect.
