No confrontation happened between Jennifer Lopez and Major League Baseball player Alex Rodriguez, despite a report claiming that the A-list singer had confronted her fiancé about Jose Canseco’s cheating accusations against him.

It can be recalled that when Rodriguez proposed to Jennifer Lopez on March 9, his former baseball rival, Jose, went on a Twitter storm and accused the former Yankee of cheating on the female hitmaker with his ex-wife, Jessica Canseco. According to Jose, he was with Jessica a few months ago when Rodriguez dropped her a call. He also said he was willing to take a polygraph to prove that he was telling the truth.

Shortly after Jose’s allegations made the rounds online, Jessica dismissed her ex-husband’s claims as flat-out false, noting that she had not seen Rodriguez in the last five years. “I am friendly with both him and Jennifer. As for Jose, he can keep playing with his alien friends,” she tweeted, hitting back at Jose Canseco.

Although the issue has already died down in recent days, a new report surfaced earlier this week to revive the fire. Based on the report, Lopez was extremely furious and humiliated by the cheating allegations against Rodriguez that she angrily confronted him to know his side of the story. “It didn’t take long for all of J. Lo’s dreams of becoming Mrs. Rodriguez to turn into a nightmare. This has pretty much been an engagement from hell,” the report read.

The publication also claimed that Rodriguez was so defensive during the confrontation and was quick to dismiss Jose’s accusations, describing his fellow professional baseball player a “total liar.” The publication claimed that a tipster close to both Lopez and Rodriguez had told them that the Latina singer would get to the bottom of the scandal before walking down the aisle and would not hesitate calling off the engagement once she proves that Rodriguez had actually cheated on her.

On Thursday, Gossip Cop debunked the made-up report. A source close to Lopez assured the publication that no confrontation happened between the two and that Lopez and Rodriguez are still as happy as ever.

True enough, Lopez told People in an interview on Wednesday that they are “really happy” and are excited to build their own family despite Jose’s accusations. “Everything that we do, we do together,” Lopez said. “He knows my dreams and I know his dreams, and together we feel like we’re stronger. We’re constantly supporting each other in our individual endeavors and thinking about all the things that we can build together,” she added.
