An actress who appeared on “Doctor Strange” is being accused of committing sex acts with a then-teenage girl after allegedly giving her alcohol between 2005 and 2008.
The accused were identified as Zara Phythian, an actress who portrayed the role of a sorcerer in “Doctor Strange.” Her husband, identified as Victor Marke, was also accused of repeatedly having sex with the then 13-year-old girl, the Nottinghamshire Post reported. The abuse reportedly continued until she was 15-years-old.
The woman is now in her late 20s and has not been identified. She testified in court on Thursday, Apr. 28, NBC News reported. Phythian and Marke were not yet married at the time of the incident.
According to the girl who is now an adult, the couple allegedly plied her with alcohol and then had sex somewhere between 2005 and 2008. She added that Phythian and Marke also filmed the encounters.
“I knew it was wrong but I just didn’t know how to get out of the situation or say anything,” the victim told the outlet. “I remember trying to copy Zara’s reaction at the time because I looked up to her and tried to be like her in every way.”
At the time, Phythian and Marke were martial arts instructors in the United Kingdom before the teen reached out to them. Aside from her minor role in “Doctor Strange,” the 36-year-old actress has also performed stunts in other movies and TV shows.
According to the accuser, Phythian allegedly asked her to a game of dare and give Marke oral sex. The couple has shot down the allegations.
Phythian and Marke are facing 14 charges of sexual activity with a child in the United Kingdom.

Now a mother, the female victim adds that she was pushed to speak out.
"At that time, I had just become a mum and had no option other than to speak my truth and never allow it to happen to anyone else again," she explained.
