F1 Champion Lewis Hamilton To Start A New Career In Hip Hop?

We couldn't make this stuff up. After finishing a sub-par eighth on Sunday's British Grand Prix in Silverstone, 2008 Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton was seen partying in London later that evening with Jay-Z's rap protege J Cole, who signed with Jay-Z's Roc Nation label back in 2009. His debut album, 'Cole World: The Sideline Story', rocketed to Number 1 on the U.S. charts.

After Lewis was introduced to J Cole via the sensational Rihanna and according to The Sun newspaper, J and Lewis managed to seal a record deal after talking about forthcoming recording sessions and collaborations. Last year, the Sun had already reported that Lewis had spent thousands of pounds on studio time and have been making some music in his spare time. Since Lewis Hamilton has been dating Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger for a number of years now, this new development may or may not be partly Nicole's influence.

According to a source from the Sun, "Lewis had a great night with J Cole. He's a massive rap fan and J is really into F1 so they've bonded quickly. They had a long dinner with a group of girls and the rapper's manager, [and] J invited him to his studio the next time Lewis is in the US, saying they could work on music together. Lewis said he'd repay him by sorting him out at any grand prix he wanted to go to."

After Lewis Hamilton had won the Formula 1 Driver's World Championship title in 2008, Hamilton hasn't been able to tie together another memorable season since. Is Lewis now looking for newfound success in the music business?
