For gamers, no title deserves to be coveted for 2021 than “Final Fantasy 16.” After it was revealed at the PlayStation 5 Showcase event, the belief is that it may only be a matter of time before it would come out.

The year has just started but “Final Fantasy 16” is undoubtedly the game a lot of people are waiting for. As of this writing, there is no official release date but there is reason to be impatient. The fact that the game has been worked on for the last four years hints that game developers may be in the polishing stages. And with that in mind, there is a fair chance its availability may be known soon.

Square Enix has confirmed that Naoki Yoshida and Hiroshi Takai will be behind the production of “Final Fantasy 16.” It comes as no surprise since the duo had renewed success with “Final Fantasy 14.” It remains one of the popular online games to date so both will have to come up with something big to make the latest rendition stand out.

As for the game proper, “Final Fantasy 16” is expected to be a mix of adventure and action. A lot can be picked up from the four-minute trailer.

The game setting is expected to be in the land of Valisthea, Pocket-Lint reported. It will be divided into six realms and dominated by Mothercrystals. However, each nation will have a Dominant in it, a person who has deadly power called Eikon. Some of these people are like royalty, while others are closer to weapons in how they're treated.

Among the characters to expect on “Final Fantasy 16” include Clive Rosfield, Joshua and Jill Warwick. It has yet to be known how the three characters factor in and what story each one carries. However, it appears something will spark a revenge angle anchored by Clive.

While “Final Fantasy 16” is expected to first come out for the PS5, it remains a mystery if it will be available in other platform versions. That would include the PS4 although the chances of that are nil.

A PC version should have better chances of having one. But the same chances cannot be said for the Xbox and the Nintendo Switch.

Regardless, the most important thing is to see “Final Fantasy 16” out in the open. Factoring all this information, that could surprise many at the least time they are expecting it.
