A former Israeli prime minister urged for the end of the country's wars in Iran and Gaza, saying the time has come to "turn inside Israel."

Speaking on Bloomberg TV on Monday, Ehud Olmert said an end to the war is needed to "recuperate and to build up again that which was broken in the hearts and minds and spirits of the Israeli people after two years of fighting with Hamas and with the Iranians."

The call comes as it is still unclear whether the Israeli government is seeking to end hostilities soon following the United States' attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities last Saturday. The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday that Israel is looking to wrap up the war soon after it finishes striking its list of military targets in the next days.

Netanyahu, on his end, declined on Sunday night to provide a timeline for the end of the attacks: "Once we achieve the goals, we will not continue beyond what is necessary. But we won't end it prematurely either," he said.

The prime minister has stated that the war has three goals: eliminating Iran's nuclear program, the end of its ballistic missile capabilities and the prevention of its ability to sponsor regional militias such as Hamas and Hezbollah. The mention on goals that are unrelated to the nuclear program has led some to believe that the country could continue its campaign for a sustained period of time.

Speaking to Bloomberg, Netanyahu adviser Caroline Glick said the country won't be hurried: "They keep attacking Israel, and we need to eliminate their ability to do that." "No one is standing with a stopwatch saying end it. We have our objectives and we are achieving them. The public gets it. It's not rushing us."
