The much-awaited “Friends” reunion will drop on May 27 on HBO Max and fans are excited for the return of Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer. But not with James Corden hosting the spectacle.

Many fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment with James Corden's hosting of the reunion special, which will air later this month. One user pointed out that, Corden in the “Friends: The Reunion” will add to the “list of things he's ruined with his mere presence.”

Meanwhile, another user has been waiting for a “Friends” reunion for nearly 20 years. “But, if someone told me James Corden would be in it, I’d have told them not to bother.”

What’s more, musician Grace Petri aired his frustration, saying, “James Corden in the Friends reunion makes sense to me, tbh. It’s straight people’s turn to get their culture ruined.”

Other than Corden, a host of new special guests, including Lady Gaga, Cara Delevingne, David Beckham, Reese Witherspoon, Cindy Crawford, BTS and Justin Beiber will appear at the reunion.

Not many people are too keen on seeing Corden off and overpowering the humor of the hit TV series. However, Corden is not the only one being snuffed out by fans. Beiber has also drawn flak for being in the show.

“So all these people could’ve been a part of the "Friends" reunion but Warner Bros chose Justin Bieber and James Corden,” a tweet showed.

Corden is not only the news everyone is worrying about. Fans were worried after seeing Matthew Perry slurring and casting a haunted look on his face on the new trailer of the reunion show.

“I know everyone is thinking about it but few are talking publicly about it. It pains me to see Matthew Perry like this, he just seems off, gazing at the void, speaking slowly...” a Twitter user shared.

“I wish he becomes as happy as he's made all of us through this show. Mathew Perry is a hero for even showing up for the reunion, there is still hope for a good recovery. Long Live Mathew Perry,” a fan shared on the microblogging platform.

Perry admitted to grappling with addiction, citing he has no recollection of filming seasons of the show.
