The George Zimmerman murder trial is charging full steam ahead in Seminole, Florida. It is day three of testimony in the murder case of Trayvon Martin a 17-year-old Florida boy who was shot and killed by George Zimmerman in 2012.

Zimmerman is claiming self-defense saying the teen turned on him violently leaving Zimmerman with no choice but to shoot and kill the unarmed young man. The prosecution is claiming that Zimmerman profiled Trayvon Martin, a young black man, because he was wearing a hoodie and looked suspicious.

During the trial on Tuesday the jury saw photos of Martin's dead body for the first time. The photos were graphic enough that they forced Trayvon's father to leave the courtroom visibly shaken, while Martin's mother stayed in her seat looking down.

The Orlando Sentinel says this was the first time photos of Martin's dead body were seen by the public. In one image, the Sentinel reports Martin was seen with his eyes open and his face "slack." In another image the prosecution showed a close up of the bullet wound to Martin's chest.

The prosecution also entered into evidence the hoodie Martin was wearing and the bag of Skittles he had gone to buy at 7-11.
