Big news at "Gotham" as the series will be giving one of its characters a big makeover and a promotion. According to TV Line, the Fox drama will reportedly turn Ivy Pepper (played by Clare Foley) into the big bad Poison Ivy. However, Foley will not be returning as Ivy Pepper and the role will be recast. Foley has intermittently appeared as the plant-obsessed orphan during "Gotham's" first two seasons.

Casting is currently underway and the series is looking for an actress in her late teens to assume the now-series-regular role of the villainess.

"Gotham's" upcoming third season will also mark the arrival of DC Comics staples Vicki Vale. There's apparently a casting call out there for a character going by the code name "Valerie" who is "an ambitious young journalist." It will be interesting to see what kind of role Vicki will play as she is largely known for reporting on the Batman and his activities but the masked vigilante has yet to taken form.

The Season 2 finale, "Transference," also teased the entrance of Bruce Wayne’s long-haired twin, development executive producer John Stephens told TVLine is "in line with all the other story we’ve been telling [in Season 2], but one piece that we’ve kept hidden," adding that with the release of Strange’s bus full of monsters, "the nature of the city of Gotham will change."

Meanwhile, Stephens also spoke with Comic Book Resources about which villains will make appearances. Stephens mentioned a handful of villains including The Mad Hatter, Talon and more.

"We'll be seeing Mad Hatter in Season 3," Stephens said. "We'll be seeing the Tweedle Brothers, too, if we're going to bring the Hatter in. In line with the Court of Owls, we'll be seeing Talon. And, we should be seeing Solomon Grundy."

"Gotham" Season 3 will return to the network in the Fall of 2016. If the series follows trend, it should premiere mid-September.
