Halsey spoke up when a critic, affcted by fact that Miley Cyrus and Liam Wentworth decided to break up, said this is the natural course of a relationship with a bisexual. Being a bisexual herself, Halsey decided to fire back at the social media user who made the very stereotypical comment.
American singer and songwriter, Halsey is not going to let one of the most stereotypical assumptions about bisexual spread further. She did not shy away from dragging and schooling a troll for blaming Miley Cyrus, who has come out as a queer, a pansexual to be exact in the past, and Liam Hemsworth's divorce to the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s sexuality.
Cyrus and Hemsworth, who first met and worked on the 2010 film “The Last Song,” got married eight months ago but have now called it quits. Fans are left bewildered, because Cyrus and Hemsworth have been in an on-off relationship for years before tying the knot, and they thought that finally, getting married the two were meant to be together forever.
Hemsworth's ex-wife, on her part never hid the fact that she is not straight. However, this never felt like it was a problem for their marriage. Now that the two have broken up and the “Party in the USA” singer was pictured kissing Brody Jenner’s ex Kaitlynn Carter, some believe that it is precisely her sexuality that is the main trigger.
One netizen by the username @theTigerbob could not help but make a Twitter comment - apparently a very stereotypical one. "#MileyCyrus splitting and allegedly cheating on Liam with a woman confirms that you shouldn’t date bi people. Not offensive, just true. Bi is greedy and never satisfied.” the offensive tweet read. Halsey did not let this slide.
She fired back at the social media user, replying, "Stop being afraid of women who aren’t afraid to do what pleases them and not other people." She also said that it is apparent that @theTigerbob would be the kind of person who made this comment because he was also averse to Brie Larson.
The user also received other comments from other Twitter users who found his comment offensive, but none could change his opinions. In fact, he replied to several and claimed that he was the one receiving “hate” from people who cannot “deal with facts.”
Cyrus has once clarified what it was like for a pansexual like her to be in a heterosexual relationship, saying her marriage is modern. "I think it’s very confusing to people that I’m married. But my relationship is unique. And I don’t know that I would ever publicly allow people in there," the singer shared to Elle. "I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women. People become vegetarian for health reasons, but bacon is still (expletive) good, and I know that."
