Following a disastrous trip to Las Vegas for their best friend's bachelor party and a botched vacation to Bangkok to help celebrate another buddie's wedding, the most famous group of friends in Hollywood are back on the scene, making a return trip to the place that made them famous.
The third and final film in "The Hangover" series is once again set in Las Vegas. While the same core group of characters return including Phil (Bradley Cooper), Doug (Justin Bartha), Alan (Zach Galifianakis) and Stu (Ed Helms), multiple reviews of the movie indicate that "The Hangover Part III" is not nearly as enjoyable as Part I or even the mediocre second movie.

While there is no wedding this time and no bachelor party to partake in, the group of buddies still find themselves in trouble when they venture out to help Alan get treatment for various mental issues following the death of his father Sid (Jeffrey Tambor). On their way to the hospital, the group is assaulted and Doug is kidnapped, marking the second time he's disappeared in three separate scenarios.
In order to reclaim their friend and return him to safety, Stu, Alan and Phil must find their old pal Leslie Chow (Ken Jeong) and surrender him to the people who kidnapped Doug. Although the premise behind the third flick is solid overall, the movie is apparently not that entertaining according to multiple reviews.
Peter Travers from Rolling Stone magazine noted that the overall failure of the latest "Hangover" flick shouldn't surprise moviegoers for the simple fact that Part 2 was just a less-funny extension of the original.
"I left Part III thinking that everyone involved went dutifully through the motions," Travers said. "Nothing more. The first movie left you with an exhilarating rush. All that Part III leaves is, well, a hangover."

Another brutal critique of the film came from Mary Pols of Time Magazine who says the movie struggled to entertain while turning into a complete disaster with each passing scene.
"The movie is so aggressively nasty and barely funny that it feels as though (director Todd) Phillips is trying to cull his own wolf pack down to only the most hardcore fans," Pols wrote. "The tagline on 'The Hangover Part III''s posters is 'THE END' and there may be some wish fulfillment implied. If a movie can be self-loathing and self-destructive, it's this one."
Obviously the movie doesn't hold a candle to the first film, but while there have been numerous negative reviews of "The Hangover Part III," Chris Hewitt from the St. Paul Pioneer Press in Minnesota did have some positive praise for the popular cast of characters.
"For the most part, the people who made 'Hangover Part III' seem eager to forget the dreadful Part II ever happened," writes Hewitt. "This hair of the dog works. It may not be as good as the first one, but it's a whole lot better than the second."

While all movies are critiqued and reviewed somewhere along the line, it is always up to the individual viewer to form their own opinion.
With that in mind, if you're an avid follower of The Wolfpack, get to a nearby theater and check out the third and final installment in the epic "Hangover" series.
