'Hell Yeah, I Ran': Dad Runs Inside as 7-Year-Old Son Is Abducted at Gunpoint in Front Yard

A young child was abducted at gunpoint from his own front yard in Wisconsin while his father bolted into their house, CCTV footage depicts.

Seven-year-old Milwaukee resident Jamal White was playing on his bike in his front yard when a white Jeep stopped in front of his house. Two individuals dressed in all black emerged from the vehicle and attempted to grab Jamal, then chasing after him when he was able to get away.

The boy's father, Jamal White Sr., can be seen dashing into the house while his son is getting abducted in the footage, earning him backlash from social media users.

"Hell yeah, I ran," Jamal White Sr. stated, explaining that he was afraid of being robbed at gunpoint and hence chose to evade the individuals attempting to kidnap his son.

The boy, who was kidnapped on July 11, was recovered about 24 hours after he was abducted, found hiding in an attic with a methamphetamine pill in his pocket by Milwaukee police, reported the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

25-year-old Corey Williams was charged with being party to the crime of kidnapping with intent to transfer property, taking hostages and contributing to the delinquency of a child in connection to the child's abduction.

The last charge Williams faces is not in relation to White Jr.'s abduction, but instead pertains to one of William's accomplices in committing the crime, a 14-year-old child.

The seven-year-old was interviewed by law enforcement two days after his abduction, who revealed that the two men who abducted him simply drove him to the house where he was later recovered by police.

While being held hostage in the house, Jamal reported that he heard one of his kidnappers speaking with his mother on the phone, and he heard his mother say that she would come pick him up.

Furthermore, the child identified Williams as one of the men who abducted him when presented with an array of photos. During his own interview, Williams alleged that White's mother was a well-known drug dealer in the area and that him and his accomplice had intended to rob her before kidnapping her son.
