How Prince Harry’s Change Has ‘Soured’ His Relationship With Prince William

Prince Harry is no longer the prince people used to know and love. According to royal biographer Penny Junor, this change in Prince Harry is the reason there seems to be a difference in the way he and his elder brother, Prince William, interact these days.

In a recent interview, Junor claimed that there’s obviously something awry between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The two couples making up the royal family’s “Fab Four” are no longer as close as they used to be, and Junor believes it’s largely because of Prince Harry.

“William and Harry were once so close — friends, allies, brothers, always teasing, so obviously happy in each other’s company,” she said. “Kate seemed to fit into the relationship seamlessly. They had each other’s backs and there was every expectation they always would have,” she added.

Junor noted that things have changed between the royal brothers due to Prince Harry’s change of behavior. “Things have soured in the last year and many of us feel this is not the behavior of the Harry we know and love,” she said.

She also claimed that if Prince Harry will not go back to his old self, then his relationship with his brother will become irreparable. When this happens, it would be “nothing short of a tragedy,” said the royal biographer.

Meanwhile, royal photographer Arthur Edwards told The Royal Box that Meghan Markle is the reason behind the “massive change” that Prince Harry has gone through in recent months. Just like Junor, Edwards also acknowledged that the Duke of Sussex has become more aloof and matured over the last few months, and it’s all because of the influence of his wife.

“I can see a massive change,” he said. “He’s become more aloof. He would always have a good relationship with the media. He would always engage in some way. That’s completely stopped now,” he added.

Edwards also claimed that Prince Harry has changed because he’s now “controlled” by Meghan. He noted that the Duke of Sussex has grown so protective of Meghan since they wed.
