USB analyst, Steve Milunovich, says Apple may only launch one of the two rumored larger sized iPhone's this year. MacRumors reports that Barron's replays the research note based on Milunovich's "check" of the supply chain. Since the rumors have began about the iPhone 6 it has been repeatedly suggested that Apple will launch two different sized smartphones. The predictions most commonly attributed to this rumor say Apple will have a 4.7 and 5.5-inch iPhone, up from the current 4-inch screen size of the iPhone 5 lineup.

Milunovich's report echoes those rumors that Apple will release two models, but is not sure if both devices will launch this year saying," ... an “iPhone 6” is most likely to come in August or September, rather than June, in two different models, one with a 4.7-inch screen, one with a 5.5-inch screen. He thinks the former, the smaller of the two, “seems certain,” but that the 5.5-inch model “may or may not launch at the same time and could be of the same resolution (lower pip), which would help app developers."

The analyst also echoes rumors that Apple will launch the next iPhone iteration this fall around August or September, but the release of the 5.5-inch model is less certain. An additional detail Milunovich gives says the 5.5-inch model may carry the same resolution as the 4.7-inch model. News has been scarce lately around details about the iPhone 6 and its resolution. As of now this is just speculation until Apple confirms details surrounding its next iPhone iteration.
