Apple's iPhone 6s lineup has barely been out for two months now, and already the rumor mill is churning regarding the company's next device the iPhone 7.
According to MacRumors KGI Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has released a new research report which outlines his expectations for Apple's iPhone lineup in 2016. Firstly, Kuo believes Apple is still working to launch a 4-inch iPhone that is said to resemble an upgraded iPhone 5s. The device is rumored to launch early 2016 and come equipped with an A9 processor. Kuo said of the iOS device:
"As there is still demand for a 4-inch iPhone, we believe Apple will upgrade this product line. Because the iPhone 5s is more popular than the iPhone 5c, we think Apple is likely to launch an upgraded iPhone 5s. We predict Apple will mass-produce this new 4-inch iPhone in 1H16 with metal casings. In order to make the current iOS 9 or next-generation iOS 10 run smoothly, Apple may adopt an A9 chip for this new phone."
Furthermore, Kuo believes the 4-inch iPhone will not support the 3D Touch feature found on the new 6s line.
Meanwhile, Kuo's report states that Apple will more than likely follow tradition and launch new devices in the third quarter of 2016. As far as specs go these iPhone's are said to have an upgraded A10 processor for better performance and the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus will include 3GB of RAM.
As of now this is all just speculation but if Kuo is correct the iPhone 7 could really be a power house device.
