A famous Iraqi YouTuber has been accused of shooting and murdering his own 14-year-old daughter after allegedly seeing her hanging out with a stranger.

Mohammed Al Esawi, a popular Iraqi YouTuber and comedian, reportedly got angry after he saw his teen daughter answer the door for a stranger. When Esawi saw his daughter standing with the stranger, he believed that they both were planning something and allegedly shot her to death, Gulf News reported.

The girl reportedly opened the door thinking that it was her brother. The stranger was a young man who had proposed to her many times but had been rejected. Esawi, who grew suspicious after seeing them together, took out his handgun in a fit of rage and fired three times at his daughter.

Esawi reportedly shot his child to death in the presence of her mother. Even though the mother tried to prevent her husband from killing his daughter, her attempts proved to no avail.

Meanwhile, the police have launched an investigation into the incident and are searching for Esawi who has gone into hiding following the violent incident.

In a similar but unrelated incident, a Russian YouTuber named Stas Reeflay reportedly killed his girlfriend while on a livestream after his viewers paid to see her be abused, the Free Press Journal reported.

Reeflay reportedly locked his near-naked girlfriend out in the freezing cold and live-streamed the incident for his viewers who "paid" to see her suffer. However, mid-stream, the girl died of suspected hypothermia after she was forced to spend nearly 15 minutes in only her underwear in the subzero Russian winter.

Following the incident, YouTube took down the video and terminated the account associated with the user.

"We’re shocked to learn of this tragic incident. This kind of graphic content is not acceptable on YouTube," a YouTube representative said.

Previously, Reeflay had shared a video on his social media showing him repeatedly pepper-spraying his girlfriend as she lay on a sofa. In the video, the woman can be seen lying on the floor crying and wailing in pain as Reeflay sits emotionless in front of the camera sipping his drink.

The YouTuber, whose real name is Stanislav Reshetnikov, has been arrested by the police for homicide. He was convicted of inflicting grievous bodily harm resulting in death and was sentenced to six years in a strict penal colony by a Russian court in April 2021, the Daily Mail reported.
