Turns out Jennifer Lopez and Cristiano Ronaldo have a very good friend in common -- RedOne.
The Grammy Award-winning hit maker, who has previously worked with Lady Gaga, Enrique Iglesias and JLo herself, is releasing his first music video “Don’t You Need Somebody,” scheduled to premiere worldwide on June 6.
The song, which is already available on all digital platforms, features Enrique Iglesias, R. City, Serayah and Shaggy.
To promote his first single, the music producer, whose real name is Nadir Khayat, recruited some of his friends to appear in a video teaser, lip-syncing the lyrics to his song.
In the clip, Lopez, CR7 and Mr. Brainwash are shown living it up in different locations as the listen to the catchy tune. Click on the video below to watch the “Ain’t Your Mama” performer and the Real Madrid star doing their thing.
“The reason I chose to become a music producer in the first place was being able to explore the sheer number of ideas and musical styles I had,” RedOne said during a recent interview. “It enables me to work with artists in all different genres. I thought that to be a performer, you had to stick to a single sound, and I loved too many kinds of music to do that.”
He continued, “But now, I find myself wanting to get back to singing and playing and friends like Enrique have encouraged me to do so. I want to be an artist in a new way, rather than the traditional one. I’m going to do it the RedOne way, which is creating sounds with different people, doing the records I want to do.”
