A Rhode Island man is facing multiple felony charges after he was allegedly found living in Jennifer Lopez's pool house on her Hamptons estate. John M. Dubis, 49, already had a restraining order that J.Lo had issued against him, and now remains jailed on $100,000 bail after being arraigned in front of a magistrate judge at Southampton Town Justice Court in Hampton Bays.

Dubis spent six days living in the singer's pool house. He took time to post vacation photos of Lopez's property on the Internet, along with a raft of weird messages. "Some more david and jenny art, Newport, RI," he inexplicably wrote about the Hamptons home, while using the online pseudonym "David A Lopez." He also took time during his stay to clean up parts of J.Lo's property, including a path in the back that was choked with debris, he told cops. Dubis' stalking vacation continued even while Lopez's guards patrolled the grounds and failed to see him or question why his car was outside.

Neighbors who saw him thought he was part of the singer's security team. "Oh, my, come to think of it, I did find it odd when I saw a man standing outside her driveway with the gate closed," said neighbor Nancy Haverman. "I figured he was just part of her security crew. It's really frightening. You don't want to be a celebrity. I'm telling you, it's a curse. I just hope J.Lo gets to enjoy this place just like everybody else."

Finally, on August 8, a Lopez employee spotted him standing on the singer's back porch and confronted him. The accused stalker tried to claim he was the divorced singer's husband. Then, when police arrived he said her was the father of her children. He also claimed J.Lo had left the pool door open for him. Dubis also allegedly told police he had pleasured himself in the garden because he thought J.Lo wanted him to "spread his seed throughout the world." He was arrested and taken for a psychiatric evaluation.

The man is said to be obsessed with the singer and sources close to the star said she was "completely freaked out" that a stalker could get so close to her home. She ordered a review of the security before returning to the home this week, according to sources.

Dubis retired from the East Greenwich, RI, Fire District in November 2002 due to a disability, and has since had brushes with the law, including an arrest for driving without a licence in February. Earlier this year, he called J.Lo's mom and claimed to be her son in Briarcliff Manor, which landed him in jail with another psychiatric evaluation, sources said. Now, Dubis was charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree stalking, first-degree criminal contempt and possession of burglar tools.
