Kate Upton will star in a 60-second 2013 Super Bowl ad spot for Mercedes-Benz, titled "Object of Desire."
According to a source that spoke with The New York Post, the title is meant to suggest a "tongue-in-cheek depiction of how far a person might - or might not - go to get their heart's desire." Naturally, Kate Upton's role will be to simply play herself as the object. Pulling out all the stops, Mercedes-Benz has also tapped superstar R&B singer-songwriter Usher for the commercial.
Super Bowl XLVII will be held on February 3, 2013, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. Considering the involvement of supermodel Kate Upton and platinum recording artist Usher in the upcoming Mercedes-Benz ad, the German automaker is taking their role as hosts of the epic sporting event very seriously. However, the Stuttgart automaker has yet tor reveal just what car will be featured in the ad.
Few cars possess a design that can match Kate Upton's stunning beauty and heartracing curves but we predict a future model from Mercedes-Benz should fit the bill nicely. The all-new Mercedes Benz CLA compact four-door coupe is slated to make its official U.S. unveiling at the upcoming 2013 North American International Auto Show at Detroit in January, just a month ahead of the Super Bowl.
Sold either as a 2013 or 2014 model, Mercedes-Benz expects its edgy CLA-Class to go on sale by next summer. The standard CLA will feature a turbocharged 2.0 liter-four cylinder engine good for 210 horsepower. With a starting price of approximately $30,000, the entry level compact Benz will take on the likes of the Acura ILX, Audi A3, and BMW 1 Series.
