Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery is getting crazier by the second. Police officials have yet to bring any suspects in custody but they have learned that someone recorded video inside of her Paris apartment.
According to TMZ, after Paris police officers responded to Kim Kardashian’s robbery scene, someone recorded video inside of her apartment. The video shows Kim on a couch, wrapped in a blanket while FaceTiming with someone.
Police officers are currently searching the apartment for evidence unaware of someone in the apartment shooting video. The act is a major violation of French privacy laws, which is a punishable offense.
The 35-year-old’s legal team is currently working hand in hand with French authorities to determine who was behind the video recording. In France, it is illegal to film someone in a private setting without their consent.
The site reports that the video was posted on websites last week, but Kardashian’s legal team shut it down immediately after reminding the outlets that the footage is illegal and they can be subject to legal trouble.
If Kim or any one in her entourage can say who was behind the camera, and cops locate the suspect, he or she could face a year in prison and be fined and an equivalent of $50k.
Since the incident, Kim has been out of the spotlight. Security measures have been taken to the next level as the family supports her through this scary time.
There is still no word on her stolen jewelry. Video footage around the perimeter of the building has proven useless. The star is reportedly not doing well after being tied up and robbed at gunpoint.
According to the New York Daily News, sources have said that she is "blaming herself" for the robbery, because she often flaunted her pricey bling — including her $4.5 million Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring from her husband Kanye West — on Snapchat and other social networking platforms.
