'The Last Naruto Movie' Leaked: Art Work Revealed; Manga Ending Teased [REPORT, TRAILER]

We first reported the upcoming "The Last: Naruto The Movie" back in July. Now, we are excited to share a small sneak preview of the movie before it arrives in theaters later this year. "The Last: Naruto The Movie" release date is Dec. 6, 2014 at Japanese theaters.

As you may already know, "The Last: Naruto The Movie" coincides with the 15th anniversary of the Naruto manga. Given the title of the upcoming movie, one could interpret the project as the final full-length animated movie of Naruto. On the other hand, the title could also refer to something completely unrelated.

According to Naruto.Wikia, "The Last: Naruto The Movie" is just the first installment of "Naruto Shin Jidai Kaimaku Project," which translates to Naruto's New Era Opening Project. Naruto Shin Jidai Kaimaku Project is intended to celebrate 15 years of Naruto. What's more, remember that the Harry Potter movie franchise managed to split the final book into two movies, so it's possible that there is still more Naruto yet to come.

Despite the optimistic news, it is clear that Naruto will come to an end very soon. According to Naruto creator creator Masashi Kishimoto, the end of the manga is near.

"The battle of Naruto and his comrades is in it’s final phase, in the truest sense of the term," said Kishimoto. "About the Ten Tails, about Madara, and then, about Sasuke…I will continue to raise the tension without restraint, in every way I can! Please follow this story of a boy named Naruto a little while longer, I will greatly appreciate it."

Details on the new movie are limited at this time, but this is where the newly leaked movie art comes in. The "The Last: Naruto The Movie" cover art features an adult Naruto and Sasuke. As the duo has matured, it looks like Naruto has complete control over his Kyuubi Sage mode, while Sasuke can unleash Mangekyo Sharingan and the Rinnegan at the same time. Additional characters in the upcoming movie include Sakura, Sai, Rock Lee, Shikamaru, Temari, Gaara, Ten Ten, and Choji.
