With a top-notch head coach, deep in-state recruiting reservoir and the best stadium in the nation, LSU expects to be in the running for a national championship almost every year, and 2013 is no different. LSU survived its opening-week test against TCU and now looks like it's headed to a 4-0 start leading up to a challenging game against Georgia in Athens later this month. But first, the Tigers will have to dispatch a UAB team that has been struggling for quite a while now.

The Tigers haven't won a national title since 2007 and have been to one since then. It's safe to say that head coach Les Miles is itching for another as he is the proud owner of an 85-21 record at LSU, hoping to come close to his 100th win this season to go along with the coveted championship trophy.

The Blazers haven't won more than five games in a season since 2004, and they're already off to a bad start to 2013, losing their opener to Troy, 34-31. Odds makers don't expect UAB to put up much of a fight in Baton Rouge, and considering this is a program coming off back-to-back three-win seasons, that is by no means surprising.

In addition to the road date against the Tide, LSU travels to Georgia in Week 5 and Ole Miss in Week 8. Coming away with a victory in either game won't be easy, and opening the season with a neutral-site game against TCU in Dallas will provide a stiff test right off the bat.

Even if LSU successfully navigates its schedule away from Tiger Stadium, there are a couple of home games that can't be overlooked. Florida visits in Week 7, and Texas A&M makes the trip to Baton Rouge in the penultimate game of the regular season.
