A man ended up suing eight people after discovering that his wife was a transgender in Uttar Pradesh, Kanpur. He claims he was tricked into marrying his partner and is now seeking damages for being duped according to police reports.
The man married his wife on Apr. 28 and only found out after two months that his wife was a transgender. He claims the genitals of his wife were not fully developed, a reason why they were unable to establish any physical relations.
The man from Kanpur only found out about the truth when he brought his wife for a physical examination. It was here where he learned that the one he married was a transgender. The man started to become suspicious when the wife was uncomfortable making relationships with him.
It was at this point where the man felt something was off. He discovered the truth when he brought his wife to a gynecologist where she was confirmed to be a transgender.
“A resident of Shastri Nagar married a woman from the Panki area of the district. After their marriage, the bride was found uncomfortable in making relationships with the groom and told him that she had health issues. As the days passed, the man began to suspect that something was amiss. He finally took his wife to a gynecologist for a check-up who confirmed that she was a transgender,” Police Inspector Bihari Misha stated.
An FIR along with the medical reports of his wife was logged on Sunday. It was filed under Section 420 (cheating) of IPC against the bride, her parents and the mediator.
The man filed the FIR on eight persons, that which included his wife’s parents. An investigation is underway and any action on the matter will be done based on investigations.
