Mark Sanchez burst onto the NFL scene in 2009 after the New York Jets selected him with the No. 5 overall pick. After starting only 1 season at the University of Southern California, the 26-year-old led the Jets to back-to-back AFC Championship game appearances in 2009 and 2010 as he looked like he'd become the next New York Jets great. Despite the early success, Sanchez and the Jets missed the playoffs altogether in 2011 and 2012 as Sanchez quickly turned from a capable quarterback to someone that looked lost under center.

Mark Sanchez threw 34 touchdowns to only 10 interception as a senior at USC but since coming into the league, the Long Beach, California native has continuously struggled in the turnover department even during his first 2 years in the league. With a total of 26 giveaways in 2011 along with an additional 26 the following season, the once-promising quarterback - affectionately deemed the 'Sanchize' in 2009 since many Jet fans expected him to become the face of the franchise - has become just another pedestrian quarterback that hasn't shown the ability, at least lately, to perform on a championship level.

Perhaps the low-point of the former first round pick's career came during a Thanksgiving game against the New England Patriots in 2012. Trailing 14-0 to their biggest rival, the Jets had the ball and a first and 10 from their own 31-yard line in the second quarter. The formation was set up for your basic running play with Sanchez directly under center in a two-back set.

While the up-back was supposed to take the handoff from Sanchez, the play became a bust and the quarterback now had to improvise. In what became one of the most talked about, unexpected, ridiculous and most hilarious things you will ever see on a football field, Mark Sanchez ran directly into the rear end of lineman Brandon Moore, fumbling a ball that was picked up by Patriots safety Stephen Gregory and returned for a touchdown.

As that moment continues to get worldwide recognition as one of the most memorable moments in recent sports history, Sanchez was recently caught on camera dancing naked with 2 women. A performance that won't sit well with the organization or its fans since Sanchez certainly doesn't have anything to celebrate lately football-wise, this is just another clear example that Mark Sanchez is not the leader or talent the New York Jets, owner Woody Johnson and head coach Rex Ryan thought he would be when they drafted him with the No. 5 pick in 2009.

The Jets have become the laughing stock of the NFL in recent years for multiple happenings both on and off the field and this latest display of immaturity by Sanchez certainly won't help matters. No one is saying you're not allowed to have fun. Mark Sanchez is a professional athlete and an adult so he should be allowed to take a load off when the appropriate time arises.

Given the fact that the Jets haven't been relevant in essentially 3 seasons while the neighboring New York Giants have won 2 Super Bowls in 5 years and division rival New England continues to dominate, Mark Sanchez needs to be more intelligent before he dances around a house naked with a video camera capturing every moment, especially since he's supposed to be the leader of his team.

Anyone who owns a smart phone, iPod, iPad or any new technology available these days is essentially a reporter. Being that any moment in time can now be uploaded to a video file on the internet instantaneously, professional athletes and celebrities have to be a little more cognizant of their actions and surroundings before letting loose. Smarten up Mark.
