Masked Gunmen Storm 6ix9ine's Florida Mansion While Rapper Livestreams With Jack Doherty

A violent, coordinated home invasion at the Florida residence of rapper Daniel "Tekashi 6ix9ine" Hernandez left his 60-year-old mother in a terrifying hostage situation and authorities scrambling for answers.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, four masked gunmen forced their way into the property via the garage. The intruders held Hernandez's mother outside the home while they searched inside, demanding cash and car keys. The rapper himself was not present at the scene, as he was livestreaming with YouTuber Jack Doherty at the time of the attack.

Surveillance video reportedly obtained by media outlets shows the harrowing moment the intruders confronted his mother. Home when the invasion occurred, she reportedly bore the brunt of the criminals' aggression. Doherty, himself, was arrested on Saturday after being found with drugs by the police while disrupting traffic to film videos in Miami Beach. The YouTuber was wearing a shirt with his mugshot on it during his collaboration with the rapper.

One clip shows a masked man dragging her by the hand while the family dog looks on and a second masked figure stands guard. According to the sheriff's office, the suspects fled in a vehicle before law enforcement arrived, and K-9 units were unable to track them. There are no reported injuries at the time of publication, but the property was left ransacked, furniture overturned, and personal items searched as the four perpetrators carried out their plan.

The sheriff's office is continuing its investigation, and no arrests have yet been made. For 6ix9ine, the timing is particularly sensitive. He faces sentencing later this week on alleged violations of his supervised release, having violated the terms of his parole three times in the last thirteen months.

Hernandez told Doherty that he would be turning himself in this Thursday and that the stream will be his last public appearance before going to jail. The rapper abruptly canceled his collaboration with the YouTuber and FaceTimed Doherty to inform him of the robbery.

The rapper, known for his controversial legal past, including a cooperation deal with federal authorities, has recently faced parole violations and remains under heightened scrutiny. Some observers suggest the break-in could relate to his notoriety and financial visibility, though no motive has been confirmed by police.

As of yet, neither Hernandez nor his team has released a statement regarding the home invasion.
