Matthew McConaughey dropped a whopping 47 pounds to play AIDS patient Ron Woodruff in the Oscar nominated film "Dallas Buyers Club." To be believable in his role his body underwent a transformation due to the drastic weight loss. CNN's Piers Morgan interviewed the Golden Globe winner for Best Actor In A Motion Picture Drama and asked him how to lose 40 pounds. "Go to Mexico and drink the water," the actor quipped with a wink. Our Mexican neighbors down south might get offended by the remark, but it was just a joke and he meant no harm by it.

McConaughey has won many accolades for this film and is a favorite to win at the Academy Awards on March 2. Even with all the prestige and acclaim he has received he remains very grateful for his success. “I'm very engaged in what's happening, extremely appreciative, understand, you know, what the reasons are that someone would say - be deeming me with a nomination, you know, and what's been going on in my life.” His father passed away in 1992 and wasn't able to enjoy the actor's accomplishment's in the movie industry, but the thespian was positive that “he’d be loving it ... he’d be hamming it up.” Watch a clip of the interview down below!
