Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton have been unwillingly dragged into the feud between their respective fans with their “Team Meghan” versus “Team Kate” social media drama. However, recent reports suggest that while both duchesses seem to have no problems with each other, it’s actually their royal husbands, Prince William and Prince Harry, who are at odds recently.

This intriguing update was revealed by filmmaker Nick Bullen, who added that it should not be too surprising since almost everyone quarreled with their siblings at some point. “It’s actually that William and Harry have had a rift,” Bullen said. “All brothers fall out. All families fall out. Their fallout at the moment is becoming public.”

Bullen has been doing filmmaking projects for the royal family for over two decades now, so he certainly has access to some of the family’s inner workings. In fact, he has worked with Prince Charles for around eight years.

The royal filmmaker also explained the reason why it was Meghan and Kate’s alleged feud that has been hugging the headlines and not the rift between the royal brothers. “[I]t’s a much sexier story to have two duchesses at war,” Bullen said. “Let’s have these two super glamorous women — one British, one American. One an actress, one sort of an English rose. Let’s put them against each other, that’s the sexy sort of media story.”

Bullen did not reveal what exactly caused the rift between Prince William and Prince Harry. He did reveal, however, that even Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth II intervened to try and patch things up between the brothers. “I think the Prince of Wales and the queen are working incredibly hard to try and make sure everybody reunites,” Bullen said. “But it is, we were surprised to hear that it was the brothers.”

Fans of the royal family who want to find out more about Prince William and Prince Harry’s feud can watch Bullen’s show, “The Royal View,” on the subscription video on demand service TrueRoyalty.tv. The filmmaker added that the suggestion to cover the subject actually came from one of the show’s guests, whom he described as “well-placed.”
