The public has been captivated by modern-day princesses Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, who often make headlines with every events they have. Recently, the two created a media stir once more when the Duchess of Cambridge was not spotted in Meghan’s baby shower.

It is fascinating why the public loves to see Kate and Meghan feud because of their different backgrounds when in fact the two are just getting along well. Gossips about the feud flew again just a few days ago when the Duchess of Sussex reportedly held her baby shower and her sister-in-law was not seen around.

There are plenty of good reasons for Kate to miss Meghan’s baby shower. First, a royal insider explained that baby showers are not really part of the British culture, let alone the royal family traditions. Earlier this year, reports claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan confirmed that they will not hold any baby shower events.

Second, Kate has her hands full, given her roles and responsibilities as the Duchess of Cambridge. On top of that, she has Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to take care of. Others pointed out too that Kate and Meghan have plenty of time to celebrate privately since they are neighbors in Kensington Palace.

Third, Meghan’s baby shower was planned by her friends in the U.S. Meghan flew to New York to celebrate the upcoming birth of her baby due this spring. The baby shower took place in the Polo Bar. Personalities who were spotted in the event were Serena Williams, Jessica Mulroney and “Suits” co-star Abigail Spencer. Amal Clooney and Misha Nonoo reportedly attended the baby shower too, but this is yet to be confirmed.

People also reported that a truck of pink roses were seen unloaded in the venue. Could this mean Meghan is carrying a baby girl? No news has been released on the gender of the baby yet.
