Meghan Markle went on a solo outing recently, while Prince Harry stayed back home with their son Archie. The Duchess of Sussex was spotted wearing a golden necklace that is a symbol of love between her and her husband.

Markle went to watch the US Open final match, where she supported her friend Serena Williams. She had a casual look with a denim dress and a grey cloak, but it was her golden necklace that caught people’s attention.

The 14-karat gold necklace is from designer Mini Mini Jewels that comes with two dog tag pendants, People reported. Pictures that were taken at the event show that each of these tags has a letter inscribed on it. The letters “H” and “M” represent the names of Markle and Prince Harry.

This isn’t the first time that the Duchess of Sussex is using an accessory to show her love. She previously wore a golden chain to Wimbledon that had the letter “A” on it, which is a reference to their son Archie.

Another gold accessory that Markle has that is a symbol of love is an eternity ring. This accessory is usually given to remember a special occasion like the birth of a child or a wedding anniversary.

The 14-karat gold necklace that caught people’s attention at the US Open is not an extravagant piece of jewelry. The necklace only has two small diamonds, and according to Daily Mail it retails for only £125 (about $154).

Markle’s trip to New York for the US Open is significant because it is her first trip overseas after giving birth to her son. While she was in the city, she is said to have taken part in a public yoga session. One possible reason why Prince Harry did not accompany his wife for the trip is because it was reportedly planned at the last minute.
