Only a few months after Meghan Markle gave birth to her firstborn, baby Archie, bookies are sure that the second baby will be coming next year. So sure are the bookmakers of this event that they suspend bets on a new arrival in 2020.
Ladbrokes are no longer accepting bets that Markle will be giving birth to her second baby the following year. The bookmakers in the past gave out an odds of 4/6 that a pregnancy announcement for this year.
But now, they are sure that a baby will be on its way next year instead that they are stopping all bets on this, as reported by Express UK. Alex Apati, of Ladbrokes, said: “Harry and Meghan clearly want to add to their family sooner, rather than later, and we’re no longer taking bets on an arrival before 2020 is out.”
The chances that Markle will have a baby bump to show in 2020 were further speculated ever since she and her husband, Prince Harry were spotted at the Rose and Crown having dinner last weekend. This is all because while the Duke of Sussex had several pints of beer while eating his meal, Markle did not have any. She only drank water throughout the two hours that she had been eating with her husband and baby Archie, as reported by the Sun.
According to the witness, it was a very private lunch. The family of three was only with another person, the private secretary as presumed by the witness.
“They were on a table with, I presume, a private secretary,” he revealed. “Meghan was cradling Archie most of the time. The little lad was as good as gold, I didn’t hear him cry once while he was there,” he further detailed.
The businessman added that it was a joy to see the family just eating quietly, after all the scandals that they have been embroiled in. “After the controversy they have been attracting they were getting their feet back on the ground with pub grub like millions of ordinary folk - and it was nice to see,” he shared.
While the witness did not specify what he meant by controversy, it can be remembered that the royal couple was heavily criticized for using four private jets in a span of 11 days. As vocal environmentalists, many viewed this as hypocritical.
