Miley Cyrus is rumored to be engaged to Cody Simpson. The two just started dating a little over a month.

Tabloid Now to Love claimed that Cyrus and Simpson are both “dead serious” about each other so they decided to jump deeper into their relationship. However, their rash move has not been sitting well with some of their friends.

“Obviously it’s an extremely rash move, even by Miley’s standards, and there’s a lot of eye-rolling going on among their friends — many of whom doubt they’ll actually make it to the altar,” an unnamed source was quoted as saying. “But both Miley and Cody seem dead-serious about following through with this — for now, at least,” the source added.

The unnamed insider even detailed the couple’s alleged proposal that took place while Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson were sharing a meal with each other. In the middle of their dinner, Cody, allegedly, got down on one knee and asked for Cyrus’ hand in marriage. The “Wrecking Ball” singer, reportedly, said yes.

Speculations about Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson’s engagement became rife after the former was spotted with her boyfriend’s rings with his initials. The tabloid claimed that this was the engagement ring that Simpson gave to his girlfriend.

“She finds the whole process of getting engaged pretty thrilling and loves to shock and surprise people. Miley has convinced herself that she needs to be one step ahead of Liam and says moving on in a formal way is the only way forward for her,” the source said.

However, according to the rumor-debunking site, Gossip Cop, the claims are incorrect. Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson are not engaged. Since Cyrus’ divorce from Liam Hemsworth is still being finalized, it is unlikely that the former child star will jump into marriage this soon.

The publication also said that, if Cody Simpson’s ring on Miley Cyrus’ finger is an engagement ring, “The Climb” singer would wear it more often. But, during her recent outings, she has not been wearing the accessory. Additionally, if Simpson will ask for Cyrus’ hand in marriage in the near future, it is likely that he won’t give her a recycled ring.
