A 15-year-old Spanish boy shot and killed his parents and his 10-year-old brother, in a fit of rage after his mother disconnected the Wi-Fi connection in the house.

The minor remained locked in the house with their dead bodies for three days before informing his relatives about the deadly incident, Diario Levante reported.

According to reports, the boy was arrested on Friday, Feb. 11, after police officers responded to the property in the Algoda area of Elche in the Alicante province on Friday, Feb. 11, after he confessed to the killings to a family member who was concerned about his parents' whereabouts.

The unidentified teenager allegedly used a shotgun to kill his mother, father, and younger brother following an argument over his school grades.

The newspaper reported that the boy’s mother had disconnected the Wi-Fi connection at their home as punishment for failing five subjects at school.

Enraged by this, the boy confronted his mother which gave way to a heated argument between them. During the altercation, the teenager allegedly shot his mother, brother and then waited for his father to arrive, before shooting him twice in the chest.

He then allegedly dragged the bodies to the house's shed, where he remained locked up for at least three days, reports said.

Two aunts of the young suspect, who came to their home on Friday afternoon to inquire about his parents, discovered the triple murder and alerted the police.

An official in the investigation team confirmed that the child has confessed to the triple murder, adding that the suspect had displayed "unusual coldness, without expressing remorse" at any time.

Responding to the tragedy Elche Mayor Carlos González said the incident has shocked the entire city.

"These are tragic and incomprehensible events in circumstances that shock the entire city," the mayor said.

The city would mark three days of mourning to convey "all the love, solidarity and affection for the families of the victims," he added.

The boy would be taken to the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office where he would be assigned a defense attorney, Spanish media reported on Friday. He will be then placed in a reform center for minors.
