While many highly anticipated sports video games have been released through multiple companies this year, Sony recently announced that another sought after game will soon hit the open market as well. Sports gaming fans have had the chance to enjoy the recent launchings of 'FIFA 14,' 'NCAA Football 14,' 'NBA 2K14' and 'Madden NFL 25,' and while those games certainly debuted with a significant amount of fanfare, Sony hopes its latest creation is able to reel in the same amount of buzz and success the previously mentioned games have already enjoyed.

Set to release 'MLB 14 The Show' on the PlayStation3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita platforms in the Spring of 2014, Sony is understandably excited about the latest video game installment of Major League Baseball. With a main goal of satisfying each and every gamer's individual interests, Sony also announced that each user will now have the opportunity to carry over saves to future versions of the game. Game play speed also promises to be improved with a brand new 'Quick Counts' option that will allow players to get through a full game in a more brisk, yet fully entertaining way. Thanks to the installment of the 'Share Feature,' each gamer will have the opportunity to show off and brag about his or her greatest moments from various moments in their gaming experience.

Gracing the cover of this year's game will be Detroit Tigers superstar Miguel Cabrera. Cabrera - who won the 2012 Triple Crown Award and American League MVP - was an easy selection as cover athlete since he's been nothing short of dominant in recent seasons with the Tigers. Along with claiming the aforementioned MVP and Triple Crown, the 30-year-old native of Maracay, Venezuela has also been named to eight All-Star teams while winning four Silver Slugger Awards and three American League Batting titles.

With the inclusion of brand new features and improved areas of gameplay, 'MLB 14 The Show' should have no problem selling in large amounts once it is officially released in the Spring of 2014.
